Transformational change

When I think about some of my clients we are still in the stage of solving problems . Some others are at a place when they step out of their habitual perspective . A few are at a Transformational Change and that's a juicy place to be! What do I mean by this well some clients it's all about changing a behaviour, it's behavioural change for the next level it's about being increasingly aware which is why I use my "pattern profiling " to hold a mirror up and to as a collegue of mine puts it "to hold their feet up close to the fire". The next level is about "you never being the same" and your perceptions/your view changing especially around your "shadow".... The vehicle for all of this is extraordinary conversations and extraordinary trust in the coaching process and a real willingness to create change.

Transformational Change and progress

First-Order (Single-Loop) Change refers to solving a problem by doing something better. You've tried this and may have learned new skills and capabilities, but without examining or challenging your underlying beliefs and assumptions:
Second-Order (Double-Loop) Change refers to stepping outside your current perspective, examining your frame of reference, and doing something different. To take this step, you ask what assumptions and patterns have kept the same problems cropping up over and over, fundamentally reframe your worldview, and become less habit-driven, more open, and increasingly self-aware:
Transformational (Triple-Loop) Change will occur as second-order change creates a shift in your point of view. All your patterns will come into question. This change may happen gradually or all of a sudden. But you will never be the same:
